Meet the Ambarvale Chipmunks in the Forest Early Learning Centre team
Our dedicated and experienced team of educators at our Ambarvale Early Education Centre ensure that every child in our care is appreciated for the individual that they are. We have listed their personal philosophies below and a little about why they are passionate about early childhood.
Marian
Operations and Compliance Manager
My educational philosophy centres on fostering a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating environment where every child can thrive. I believe in a child-centred approach that values each child's individuality, encouraging their natural curiosity and creativity.
My philosophy emphasises the importance of early childhood education as a foundation for lifelong learning and development.
Angelica
Ambarvale Childcare Centre Director
Building strong relationships with children is fundamental to effective teaching. Through trust, empathy, and mutual respect, I will create a safe and supportive learning community where children feel welcome to take risks and grow academically.
Aneliese
Health & Safety Officer Tiny Wanderers Room Assistant Certificate III
I love teaching children and seeing them grow. They are individuals, with different interests, backgrounds and developmental stages. Children need to know they are safe, loved and care for while they learning and grow.
Kate
Little Explorers Room Leader Certificate III
As an educator, I am committed to ensuring that infants, toddlers, and young children in my care have access to enriching and positive learning experiences. I firmly believe that every child has the right to have their individual needs acknowledged and met, along with receiving genuine education tailored to their developmental stage.
Mere
Little Explorers Room Assistant Diploma working towards Bachelor of Education
I firmly believe that as an educator, I bear the responsibility of providing young children with positive and enriching learning experiences. Building close relationships with each child under my care and their families is essential to me, as it fosters trust and enhances the overall learning environment.
Betty
Tiny Wanderers Room Leader Diploma
My interactions with the children in my care are underpinned by philosophy that recognises the unique characteristics of each child. These characteristics are shaped by their family background, culture and ethnicity. I believe this uniqueness enriches the learning environment, particularly where parents are respected and engaged as partners with educators.
Satya
Ambarvale Childcare Centre Room Assistant
As a bud blooms as flower beautifully, the early years of a child will be sensitive while learning and observing all aspects like physical, emotional, cognitive etc,. As an educator I believe that every child needs a safe and secure environment to learn new and interesting activities while nurturing their development.
Chrysovalantou
2IC and Room Leader for Preschoolers
I became an early childhood educator because from a very young age I always wanted to teach, seeing children learn while scaffolding their interests into so many new interests is amazing and fulfilling, so it seemed like a natural progression for me to pursue a career in early childhood education.
What our parents ask about preschool Ambarvale
Finding the perfect preschool for your child and family is no easy task. We know you must have many questions, so please find the answers below to some FAQs on childcare.
-
Ambarvale preschools often will not enrol children until they are 2 years or even some 3 years of age. This is due to the rooms often being larger and not having the facilities to accommodate younger children i.e. changing areas and cots, so they will usually only allow you to enrol if you children in completely toilet trained. Long child cares however follow the same school readiness guides to prepare your child for school and can also help with toilet training and offer support if your child is not quite ready to be out of nappies.
-
Many childcare centres brand themselves differently from daycare, child care and early education. All centres follow the same framework and standards so its important to look at a few centres near you and ensure they are right for you and your children.

You will see benefits from starting your child in childcare at any ages. Often when they are older then can take a while longer to settle in as they have developed strong bonds with their family and the initial separation can be quite overwhelming. When children are younger, they are usually more open to bonding with others and therefore attach to their educators easier, making the initially separation a lot easier. If you cannot afford or do not want to enrol your child at an earlier age you can do quite a lot to support them for when you choose to enrol them, such as leaving them with family and friends for a few hours at a time to make them more social with others and therefore able to adapt when left with other adults.

Children are constantly learning, even when falling asleep they are learning to regulate themselves, eating times they are learning self-help skills by feeding themselves or learning new textures and tastes. Our programs are developed to harness optimal learning times which are usually in the morning, after having something to eat for morning tea or in the afternoon, again after having afternoon tea. These seem to be optimal times for when children are regulated and can focus on more difficult experiences.
